Type Rating Advanced Ground School

Lone Eagle utilizes Distance Learning Courseware for our Home Study Course. Additionally we use the same courseware during ground school creating a seamless training experience for both the student and the instructor.


Distance Learning is offered at your own pace and you may repeat as many modules as you like. A minimum of 80 hours is required and is tracked by Lone Eagle. An entrance examination is completed upon your arrival on the first day of ground school. You may also participate in our exclusive Remote Learning at no additional cost and experience our exclusive live learning program.


Remote Learning is in real time and scheduled on a regular basis. After you log-in to our Remote Learning Site, the instructor will lead a training experience that is tailored to supplement distance learning. This training features both a chat and conference call-in. Here at Lone Eagle we feel that learning at a distance should not mean learning without an instructor. This is an exclusive of Lone Eagle Aviation.


When you arrive on-site for ground school, you will be issued your own Tablet PC for the duration of your training. The Tablet has all of the Aircraft System Manuals, Quick Reference Handbook, Performance Manuals, Approach Plates and our Advanced Curriculum. The aircraft manuals are completely searchable documents. Take the battery powered Tablets anywhere you wish to study.  It’s that convenient and another exclusive of Lone Eagle.


The ground School consists of one 10 hour class facilitated by our highly trained staff. Upon completion, your oral examination will be administered by a Lone Eagle Training Center Examiner.
