International Students
All international students are required to apply with the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) prior to any flight training in the United States. In order to obtain approval from the TSA you must first go to www.tsa.gov and complete the required documents to begin the process. After completion of the application the TSA will then send information via e-mail detailing additional steps to be taken in order to complete your application process. The time to obtain approval may vary; however, the average time is approximately 30 days.
All international students are also required to obtain an M1 visa. This process requires the student to attend interviews and provide specific information that can take up to 3 months. Prospective students are advised to begin this process as soon as possible due to the length of time required. Any prospective student applying with Lone Eagle that holds a permanent resident card for the United States does not need to apply for an M1 visa however, must still apply with the TSA.
Please Note: All international students must contact Lone Eagle prior to starting any of these processes. We must obtain certain information in order for the student to begin the application process. Lone Eagle will not process nor begin training of any student that has not been granted approval from the TSA and U.S. Immigration.
