737-200 Type Rating Simulator Training

The Ground School's emphasis is on saving time and maximizing efficiency.  The Simulator Training is also built to maximize the students time and enable the student to learn in the most efficient manner possible.

The days of the long 4-hour simulator sessions are soon to be a relic of the past.   The most common complaint pilots have with this system of simulator training is fatigue.  Often by the time the pilots switch seats, they are both mentally exhausted and ready for a long break.  The architect of the Lone Eagle training philosophy and program, Jim Pennington, has been instructing for over thirty years and has a solution for this outdated system of scheduling.

Lone Eagle takes a different approach to simulator training.  Here you will train in 3 Hour blocks.  Each student gets 1.5 hours with a short break before switching seats.  It has been found that the reduced schedule “in the box” has an enormous effect on reducing fatigue and improving retention and learning.  This dramatic improvement now enables pilots who qualify for the Advanced Curriculum to actually be scheduled for two simulator sessions in one day!
